Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Shoot Desk handles information for the public website, invite-only accounts, private workspaces, public gear-list pages, quote requests, contact cards, and support or issue requests.

Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to run Shoot Desk, including account details such as name, email, username, invite status, workspace membership, and authentication events handled through Supabase.

Workspace users may store project records, contacts, companies, phone numbers, email addresses, notes, gear inventory, packages, rental carts, quote records, invoices, settings, backups, and document-related metadata.

Public gear-list visitors may submit quote requests with project details, selected gear or packages, rental dates, name, email, and phone number. Shared contact-card pages may display contact details chosen by the workspace user who created the share link.

If you request beta access, submit an issue, create invites, reset a password, or contact us, we may collect the information you provide plus limited technical context such as page path, browser information, request time, and rate-limit data.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide the product, authenticate users, keep workspace data tied to the right account, process quote requests, generate documents, support backups and imports, send invite or password reset flows, respond to requests, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

Public gear-list submissions are delivered to the workspace owner or authorized workspace users connected to that gear list. Private workspace records are not intentionally published unless a workspace user enables a public feature or shares a link.

Sharing and Service Providers

Shoot Desk uses service providers to operate the app, including Supabase for authentication and database services, hosting infrastructure for the website and server routes, and Google Forms when the public beta request form is used.

We may share information when needed to provide the service, comply with law, protect users or the app, respond to abuse or security issues, complete a business transfer, or with your direction through workspace invites, public gear lists, quote requests, contact-card links, exports, and downloads.

As of the last updated date, Shoot Desk does not sell personal information, does not use payment card processing in the app, and does not include third-party tracking analytics in this repository. Hosting and infrastructure providers may keep standard security and access logs.

Cookies and Authentication

Shoot Desk uses cookies or similar session storage to keep signed-in users authenticated, protect workspace access, complete password reset flows, and support security checks. These are used for product operation, not cross-site advertising.

Data Retention

Workspace data is kept while the workspace is active or as needed to provide the service, maintain backups, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect the app. Export, import, backup, and restore tools may create additional copies controlled by the workspace user.

You can request correction, export, or deletion of account or workspace information. We may need to verify account ownership, workspace authority, or legal requirements before acting on a request.

Security

We use account authentication, tenant-scoped workspace checks, rate limits, private server-side keys, same-origin checks, and database row-level security where the Supabase path is configured. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Shoot Desk is built for production work and is not intended for children under 13. Do not use Shoot Desk to knowingly submit information about children unless you have the legal right to do so for the work record involved.

Your Choices

Workspace users can choose what to enter, export workspace data, hide or expire contact-card links, disable public gear-list visibility where available, and choose what gear or contact details to publish. Public quote request submitters can contact the workspace owner or Shoot Desk about a submitted request.

Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact Shoot Desk at the email address used for your invite or the contact method shown on the relevant public gear-list page.
